Care.Connect.Contribute

Giving back is woven into how we operate. Through the Simba Charity Foundation, we partner with and support impact-led initiatives that create meaningful, lasting change, driven by our people and guided by our values.

The result: Together we contribute to something greater than ourselves.

B-Corp Certified

We are proud to be actively involved in the communities we serve. We extend our impact beyond business through partnerships, philanthropy, and hands-on involvement, supporting initiatives that create meaningful and lasting change.

From local programs to global research, our commitment is grounded in one belief: we grow stronger when our communities thrive.

Investing in Research: ADNP Syndrome

Through our partnership with the ADNP Kids Research Foundation, Simba Global has supported leading researchers at the University of California, Davis, to advance understanding and treatment of ADNP syndrome.

ADNP (Activity Dependent Neuroprotective Protein) is a critical gene responsible for brain development and function. When this gene is altered, it causes ADNP syndrome, a rare and complex neurodevelopmental condition that affects multiple systems in the body. Children living with ADNP often experience developmental delays, speech and motor challenges, and features of autism, alongside broader medical needs that require ongoing care.

Although it is estimated to affect approximately 1 in 20,000 people, only around 400 children worldwide have been formally diagnosed, highlighting how under-recognised this condition remains.

Over the past five years, Simba has contributed more than $4.1 million to support a long-term research program at the UC Davis MIND Institute, a globally recognised leader in neurodevelopmental research. This work focuses on developing targeted therapies using advanced approaches such as gene therapy, genetic modelling, and pre-clinical testing, with the goal of improving outcomes for children and families living with ADNP.

Importantly, ADNP is also recognised as one of the most common single-gene contributors to autism, meaning this research has the potential to unlock broader insights into neurological conditions affecting millions worldwide.

ADNP Research

Why it matters

This commitment is deeply personal, shaped by our family's lived experience with ADNP. We believe businesses can play a meaningful role in accelerating scientific discovery, advancing treatment pathways, and supporting families navigating complex health challenges, reflecting the Somaia family's long-standing belief in giving back.

Connecting, Caring & Contributing

Family has always been at the heart of Simba.

Our founder, Anil Somaia, often says, "A courageous life is a life well lived." It's a belief that continues to guide how we operate, shaping the way we care for people, build relationships and contributing to the communities connected to our work.

At Simba, care is active, in everything we do. Every day.

Through the Simba Charity Foundation and our broader community initiatives, we support programs that strengthen education, wellbeing and local resilience. Our approach goes beyond financial support alone, combining financial giving, time giving and hands-on involvement to create deeper, more lasting impact.
